Her road to Miss SA 2018
We first met Tamaryn Green as C2 at the Women360 and #MissSA2018 regional search at GrandWest on the 18th of March, 2018. She stole our hearts as soon as she stepped on stage in her mustard dress and winning smile. She became one of 28 incredible women who made up the regional qualifiers from around South Africa. After a gruelling round of judging, Tamaryn won over the judges with her humility, hardworking nature and compassionate heart – she moved forward as a Miss South Africa top 12 finalist for 2018.
Tamaryn believes that a Miss South Africa should be kind, compassionate, and humble and true to herself and her belief systems. She must be confident, possess good communication skills and relate easily to people. She should be hardworking and passionate about representing her country to the world.
Her role as Miss SA 2018
“As a woman, I believe there is a golden thread linking all women across the globe. Together we should be able to uplift, inspire, nurture and educate the youth of our world.”
As Miss South Africa, Tamaryn believes that she’ll be in a strong position to assist with the reconstruction of a better South Africa. Having always been passionate about making positive and progressive change in the lives of others, Tamaryn wants to be a voice for those who cannot be heard. Growing up, Tamaryn was exposed to two very different worlds, that of the fortunate and less fortunate, she wants to assist in bringing those worlds together. She believes that this is possible with equal education for all South Africans and wants to let her “actions speak louder than words” attitude lead the way.
As Miss South Africa, Tamaryn hopes to inspire and empower women to be the best version of themselves. She wants to show South African women that they have a voice and it can be heard, they can be seen and will be valued.
